Earle G. Shettleworth Junior Docent Program

For more than ten years, this program, honoring Maine State Historian Earle G. Shettleworth, Jr., has provided training to students ages 12-17 to become room stewards of Victoria Mansion. Students learn about Victorian-era and Maine history, and gain the skills to talk about various historic, architectural, and artistic aspects of Victoria Mansion with our visitors. Past Junior Docents have made Victoria Mansion the site of school and other community-focused projects.

If you’re interested in learning more, please fill out the form below. Inquiries are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
