A Legacy of Silk and Satin: Celebrating the Weddings Inspired by Victoria Mansion

Last year’s celebration of National Textiles Day was such a success, we are expanding it this year. Throughout the entire month of May, we invite you to usher in spring with A Legacy of Silk and Satin: Celebrating the Weddings Inspired by Victoria Mansion.

This exciting new exhibit will feature ten period dresses that interpret weddings during the time the Mansion was an elegant residence, with Mary Libby’s 1899 wedding gown as the centerpiece. Additional accessories, including some men’s pieces such as a top hat, vest, and coat, will also be on display.

We thank Mansion supporter Ruth Herold Marcel for her generosity in loaning many of the dresses and sharing her spectacular collection with us.
