Holiday Season

Christmas at Victoria Mansion

2025 Season

November 28, 2025 – January 4, 2026.

Victoria Mansion is justly famous for its elaborate Gustave Herter interiors, colorful fresco-style wall paintings, and romantic Victorian architecture.

But in the years since it became a museum, Victoria Mansion’s fame has grown in a new direction.

Christmas at Victoria Mansion, which began as a weekend holiday tea 44 years ago, has evolved into a six-week celebration drawing families from all over the region to see the house decked out in breathtaking splendor.

  • Tickets for the holiday season generally go on sale November 1st.

  • The 2025 holiday season will run from November 28, 2025 – January 4, 2026.

  • Tours are self-paced and docent-facilitated during the holiday season, with entries every half-hour starting at 10am. The final admission each day is 3pm (except 12/24 and 12/31 – final admission 12pm).

Tours & Events

A six-week celebration featuring the Mansion’s original interiors decorated for the holidays by some of the community’s leading florists and designers, it has become a cherished holiday tradition.

We are very grateful to our holiday design partners who donate their time and talent to make this annual event a huge success!

Designers

During the holiday season, many of our community’s leading and up-and-coming florists, designers, artists, and fellow non-profit organizations use the backdrop of the Mansion’s interiors to create unique decorations that emulate Victorian-era splendor. Now in its fourth decade, this annual event welcomes thousands of visitors each year from the end of November through the beginning of January.

Some designers return each year, but we always want to hear from interested designers from our community.

Our most recent team of designers include:

  • Emerald City Design (Danny R. Hatt, Don Chouinard & Marcedas Hatt-O’Toole)
  • Harmon’s Floral Company (Dan Kennedy & Jennifer Miller)
  • Dan Gifford
  • Saco Museum Festival of Trees Design Committee (Theresa Ruel)
  • Clipper Merchant Tea (Melinda Thomas & Natasha Hudnor)
  • Chevaughn Marie Designs
  • Maine Irish Heritage Center
  • Robert Parker & Charles Powell
  • Sarah Coughlin Fine Art
  • Dawn Hachey
  • Victoria Mansion Docent Committee
