Tours and Events Calendar – Subject to Change

During the holiday season, many of our community’s leading and up-and-coming florists, designers, artists, and fellow non-profit organizations use the backdrop of the Mansion’s interior design to create unique decorations that emulate Victorian-era splendor.

Join us November 29th - January 5th for "Stories of the Season," featuring installations inspired by holiday tales of the past, some drawing from well-known 19th century stories and others drawing from regional folklore.

We are closed on Mondays during the holiday season, with the exception of our Stories on the Staircase story hour for preschool-age visitors and their caregivers. Learn more at the event page.

Stories on the Staircase returns as an in-person series this year! This series of programs for our youngest visitors and their caregivers takes place every Monday morning during the holiday season. Families join us while we are otherwise closed to the public for a holiday- or winter-themed story time, and then get to walk around and preview the holiday decorations in select rooms!

This event is free, but registration is encouraged due to capacity. In the event of a snow day, a notice will be posted to our homepage and social media (Facebook and Instagram). More information and a registration link coming soon to the Event page.

Ballerinas from Portland Ballet return to Victoria Mansion’s Stair Hall this December to perform scenes from A Victorian Nutcracker. This production of the Nutcracker is unlike any other, featuring figures from Portland’s history in the opening scene, and with sets and costumes based on Victoria Mansion’s interiors.

This family-friendly event is fun for kids of all ages. After the performance, walk through the house, see the decorations, and meet the ballerinas!

Performances on Sundays, December 8th and 15th at 5:15 and 6:15pm.
